The Portuguese
football manager Jose Mourinho returns to his former club Chelsea after a
period of three years in Madrid, where he worked at Real Madrid. He helped ´The
Blues´ to win i.a. two Premier League titles. According to Mourinho, the
decision was not very difficult: “I asked the boss ‘do you want me back?’ and
the boss asked ‘do you want to come back?’ (...)?” Although Mourinho is known
for his squandering transfer policy (he bought many players for a lot of
money), this time his policy will be different. He wants to improve the team without
spending millions in the transfer window: “My work has to improve the players
and the team.”
Mourinho
said he looks forward to the cooperation with Chelsea again: "We are now
back together which is a great moment for both. We are ready to marry again and
be happy and successful again."
My opinion
Mourinho is
a great football manager, with a very strong personality. He has many friends,
but also many enemies. He is not uncontroversial and there are always people
who are critical towards him. However, it must be said that his results are
quite impressing. Therefore, I think it is a good decision for both Mourinho
and Chelsea to collaborate again. I am looking forward to next season and I am
curious about his policy and results.
